DAYTON — The University of Dayton cross country teams will travel to Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday to compete in the Louisville Cross Country Classic. In the Flyers' third race of the season, the men will once again run an 8k and the women will compete in their second 5k race of the year.
27 athletes will take on the course on Friday for UD as 14 men and 13 women are scheduled to step to the line.
The Flyers continue their season-long build to the Atlantic 10 Championships, which will be hosted by UD, on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course at Cedarville University.

Women's 5K (Gold Division): 9:45 a.m.
Women's 5K (Silver Division): 12:15 a.m.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton Cross Country returns to the course after an impressive showing at the George Dales Invitational, hosted by Western Michigan University.
The men took the third spot in the nine-team race, led by an individual victory from Senior
Owen Pukys in a personal best time of 24:31.3. Pukys has been the first Flyer across the line in both of the first two races, re-establishing himself in impressive fashion after missing the entirety of last season. A total of five Flyers finished in the top 20, as Freshman
Alex Bendaña finished 12th, Sophomore
Logan Arnold finished 15th in a PR time of 25:27.7, and Freshmen
Kamden Kramer and Tyler Guinipero rounded out the team's top five in 16th and 20th, respectively.
In the women's race, UD finished fourth out of ten teams. The Flyer women were led by Junior
Bryn Hothem and Senior
Marissa Pritchett, who both finished in the top 15. Junior
Olivia Kindbom was the third Flyer across the line while Freshmen
Reese Kohnle and
Abigail Jordan rounded out the scoring positions in their first 6k race.
