DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's soccer team returns home to host La Salle Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. at Baujan Field in Atlantic 10 action.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
The Flyers are 4-5-4 on the year and 0-3-1 in conference play. UD is 2-2-2 at home this season and currently riding a three-game losing streak.
Head coach
Dennis Currier is in his 14th season at the helm of the Flyers, totaling 134 victories, the most in UD history. He leads a young squad this season with 15 newcomers and just two seniors.
The Flyers are averaging 1.00 goals each game and allowing the same to opponents. Dayton is outshooting teams 14.5 to 11.5 and has a corner kick advantage.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
LA SALLE
La Salle enters the week with a 2-9-2 record overall and an 0-3-2 A-10 mark, sitting one spot above Dayton in the conference standings. The Explorers are 1-5-1 away from home this season as well. Head coach Rob Irvine is in his third season at La Salle.
The Explorers are scoring 0.92 goals each outing and giving up 1.92 to opposing squads. La Salle is being outshot 11.5 to 9.2 and giving up a 50.3 shots on goal percentage.
Soji Olatoye is the main offensive threat with a team-high five goals and one assist. Mike Liska has added a team-best three assists as well. Goalkeeper Cameron Keys has 46 saves and 1.93 goals against in 12 starts.
THE SERIES
Dayton and La Salle have played 24 times previously with the Flyers winning 13 contests and the Explorers winning 10 match ups. The last meeting took place in October 2016 with UD falling on the road at La Salle 1-0.
LAST OUTING
Dayton fell on the road at Rhode Island Saturday, 3-1 despite tying the game up in the 75th minute on
Jake Feiner's first career goal.
La Salle drew at home against Davidson 1-1 on Saturday. The Explorers took the initial lead in the 13th minute but gave up the tying goal in the 77th minute.
