KANSAS CITY – The United Soccer Coaches organization announced its Scholar All-American teams and named University of Dayton men's soccer junior
Rok Taneski Third Team Scholar All-America.
"Rok symbolizes what a Dayton student-athlete is all about," said head coach
Dennis Currier. "Along with excelling on the field, he is very diligent and serious in the pursuit of his academic career off the field. His talent and work ethic have earned him numerous achievements but the Academic All-American award has extra special meaning. It's impressive when a student-athlete can excel at such a high level in both academics and soccer together. We congratulate Rok along with all of our incredible academic staff for this prestigious award."
Taneski also earned All-Region and Scholar All-Region honors from USC as well after leading the Atlantic 10 this season in shots and totaling a team-high three assists and two goals. The Slovenia native was named Second Team All-Conference and Academic All-Atlantic 10 and started 19 games this season. Taneski has received conference accolades every season in a Dayton uniform.
