KANSAS CITY – The United Soccer Coaches Division I All-Region teams were announced Wednesday with University of Dayton junior midfielder
Rok Taneski earning Third Team All-Southeast Region honors.
"Rok is a special attacking player that has proven himself as one of the best in the A-10," said head coach
Dennis Currier. "It is always great to see student-athletes get recognized for their efforts."
Taneski was named Second Team All-Conference this season as well as earning All-Academic accolades. He led the A-10 in shots, putting 22 on target, and scored two goals with a team-high three assists in 19 games. The Slovenia native also was named to the Academic Dean's List and earned preseason All-Conference honors after being named A-10 Midfielder of the Year last season.
The Flyers advanced to the Atlantic 10 Tournament Semifinals and finished the season with a 9-6-4 record on the year. Dayton was 4-3-1 in conference play and won five straight games through the end of the regular season and the opening round of the A-10 Tournament.
