The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly awards for men's tennis this week and Dayton swept the awards with junior
Jordan Benjamin being honored as Player of the Week for the second consecutive time and freshman
Theo Jener earning the conference's Rookie of the Week award. The Flyers went 3-0 as a team this weekend and picked up wins over Duquesne, George Mason and Saint Francis (Pa.) to improve their overall record to 8-2 this season, including a current five-match win streak.
Benjamin didn't lose a single set on his way to winning all three of his singles matches this weekend and pushing his record to 8-0 in the spring season, with all of those matches coming at the No. 1 spot in the lineup. He also has a 12-1 overall record during the 2017-18 season when factoring in fall play.
Benjamin also teamed up with Jener this weekend in doubles play and the duo was victorious in all three of its matches, while outscoring their opponents by an 18-3 margin. The Flyers No. 2 doubles team now holds a six-match winning streak heading into this weekend.
Jener was equally as impressive in singles play, notching two wins in conference play at the No. 4 spot in the lineup over Duquesne and George Mason. Look below for full results from the pair's performances last weekend:
