DAYTON – University of Dayton men's tennis head coach Ryan Meyer has announced the hiring of Andrew Lutschaunig as an assistant coach.
"I'm very excited about the addition of Andrew to our program," said Meyer. "From our first conversation, it was apparent that Andrew was a perfect fit and will add to our culture, both as a coach and mentor. I'm looking forward to getting him started."
A native of Richboro, Pa., Lutschaunig has been a coach at the Kass Tennis Academy in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to coaching, he played on the Ohio State Men's Tennis team from 2018-2024, amassing 18 singles and 68 doubles wins.
In his career as a Buckeye, Lutschaunig earned multiple national titles. He was the 2022 ITA Fall Nationals Doubles Champion and won NCAA doubles in 2023. He also earned ITA Doubles All-American distinction in 2023.
Lutschaunig earned an undergraduate degree in Business Finance and a graduate certificate from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at Ohio State.
"I am very happy to become a Dayton Flyer and to continue to build on everything Ryan has done for this program over the last several years. I'm looking forward to building relationships with these players and helping them achieve their goals on the court while preparing them for life beyond college," said Lutschaunig. "I am excited to bring what I've learned throughout my time playing college tennis and to hopefully have a lasting impact on this program and the people in it."
