NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its annual All-Academic awards and honored the University of Dayton men's cross country team.
For the 23
rd straight year, the Flyers were named as one of the 195 men's programs recognized for having a team cumulative GPA above a 3.0.
Dayton had both the men's and women's programs recognized for their academic accomplishments last year. To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the program must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five at their respective NCAA regional championship.
The Flyers are set to compete this weekend at the SPIRE Invitational as part of the track season.
