DAYTON – University of Dayton head football coach
Rick Chamberlin has announced the Flyer football team's 2018 spring practice schedule. UD's first practice will be Friday, March 16, and the Flyers will finish the spring season Sunday, April 15 with the annual Spring Game. The Flyers will go head-to-head in an intrasquad scrimmage at Welcome Stadium at 1 p.m. ET.
The Spring Game Honorary Coaches will be two stars from the Flyers' first NCAA playoff team in 1978, Ed Plaspohl and Bill Sahnd. Plaspohl started at linebacker alongside Chamberlin and was named the winner of the Emil Karas Leadership Award. A three-year starter at center, Sahnd was a two-time winner of the Stan Kurdziel Outstanding Lineman Award, and the team's White-Allen MVP as a senior.

Pioneer Football League regulations allow for 15 spring practice dates. Dayton will hit the turf March 16, 17, 19, 21, 23, 24, and 26. After Easter Break, the Flyers will return the practice field on April 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13 and 14 in preparation for the Spring Game on April 15.

All 15 workouts will be held at Welcome Stadium.
