#Flyboys Notes
- Dayton's three-game weekend series against Richmond will be pivotal for the Flyers, as they attempt to position themselves to qualify for the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament. Only the top seven teams in the standings make the cut for the postseason and with four conference weekend series remaining, Dayton trails Richmond by 2.0 games for that coveted seventh spot.
- Freshman Aaron Ernst was named as the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday after his complete game shutout of St. Bonaventure on Sunday in Dayton's 12-0 series-clinching win over the Bonnies.
- Ernst, who struck out a career-high six batters in the outing, is now just one of two players in the Atlantic 10 with multiple complete games.
- Connor Echols set a pair of career-high marks with four hits and four RBIs in the win over the Bonnies on Sunday.
- Tate Hagan had his third three-hit game of the season on Sunday, including his second home run of the season, a two-run blast that sparked a seven run inning in the bottom of the fifth to allow Dayton to jump out to a 7-0 lead.
- Ohio is 19-20 this season and 7-8 in the MAC, while Fort Wayne is 9-24 overall with a 5-13 mark in the Summit League, but is riding a three-game win streak following a series sweep of Omaha.
