The University of Dayton baseball team is set to take on Fordham University in a three-game series this weekend to open up the month of May. The Flyers are coming off a week that saw the team go 3-2, including a 6-3 victory over Ohio and an 18-5 win over Fort Wayne, the latter of which set a season-high for runs scored in a single game. Last week concluded with Dayton taking one game of a weekend series against Richmond.
Dayton (13-27, 5-10 A-10) enters this weekend 3.0 games behind Richmond (22-19, 8-7 A-10) for the seventh spot in the Atlantic 10 Conference standings, which is the cut-off point to qualify for the conference tournament. Fordham is sitting in third place of the A-10 with a 10-5 record in conference play and a 28-14-1 mark overall.
Dayton's series against Fordham will begin on Friday at 6 p.m., which will be streamed on the Atlantic 10 Network. The series will continue on Saturday at 2 p.m. before concluding at noon on Sunday.
