NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly men's soccer awards and recognized University of Dayton junior goalkeeper
Federico Barrios as Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
Barrios, a goalkeeper from Cali, Columbia, recorded his second shutout in three games this season after powering the Flyers to a 2-0 win over Milwaukee in the Dayton Tournament
on Friday. With two saves over 90 minutes, Barrios continues to lead the A-10 in total saves and has contributed to the Flyers' undefeated season so far.Â
This is the first honor for Dayton's goalkeeper this season, who has played every minute so far for the Flyers. Barrios also boasts a .875 save percentage in four starts, which is fourth in the A-10.
The Flyers return to action this Saturday at 2 p.m. against Western Illinois on the road.
