DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's track and field team will open its 2019 indoor season at the University of Kentucky's Jim Green Invitational. The meet will recognize Green, the first African-American student-athlete at Kentucky and in the Southeastern Conference to win NCAA and SEC Championships.

The competition will be held Jan. 11-12 inside Nutter Field House in Lexington, Ky.
"We are opening up our 2019 campaign with a trip to the University of Kentucky against some very strong competition. All of our event areas have been hard at work, and we're looking forward to getting a glimpse of where our current fitness and strengths are," said UD Head Coach
Jason Ordway. "The women are confident and hungry to compete, and that is exactly where we'd like them to be at this point prior to kicking off the indoor season."
Friday's events start at 4 p.m. and include the high jump, weight throw, and distance medley relay.
Saturday's events start at 11 a.m. with the long jump. Saturday's events can be watched on SECN+/WATCHESPN.
