DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's soccer team has announced the addition of Seth Antwi to the team for the 2019 season.
"Seth is a high level player that is coming out of one of the best youth academies in the world," said head coach
Dennis Currier. "He will bring needed versatility to our attacking core. We are excited about continuing our pipeline of student-athletes in Ghana. The standard has been set very high and we look forward to seeing what Seth can contribute on and off the field in his time here at Dayton."
Antwi comes to Dayton from Kumasi, Ghana via the prestigious Right to Dream Academy. He is an attacking midfielder and a four-year varsity letterwinner. Antwi went on to lead his team to the Gothia Cup Championship in 2015 and the Super Cup that same year. He also played for Manchester City U15 and FC Nodjaelland.
The Right to Dream Academy is one of the top academies in the world and has guided numerous student-athletes to professional careers abroad. It was ranked the No. 15 academy in the world according to Bleacher Report, joining the list along with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Manchester United. It provides children in West Africa an opportunity to develop as a player and receive a world class education in state-of-the-art facilities.
Antwi joins four other signees that were announced last week. Dominic Ruffolo, Russel Pienias, Andrews Sanchez, and Xavier Zengue have all committed to the program.
