DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's soccer team held its annual end-of-the season awards banquet on Friday, March 22.
The program took time to recognize the accomplishments of the team and individuals as they passed out team awards in front of coaches, student-athletes, families, and administrators.
On top of the accolades received during the season, such as all-conference honors, the following team awards were given out:
Offensive Player of the Year:
Jonas Fjeldberg
Defensive Player of the Year: Federico Barrios
Freshman of the Year: Elias Harryson
Most Valuable Player: Daniel Dos Santos
Unsung Hero Award: Jake Feiner
Coaches Achievement Award: Aidan Bean
The team itself was also recognized for receiving the USC Academic Team Award for posting a team GPA above 3.30.
Last fall, Dayton went 9-6-4 and 4-3-1 in Atlantic 10 play, advancing all the way to the A-10 Tournament Semifinals. The Flyers won five games in a row down the stretch of the season and into the first round of the conference championship.

Dennis Kluba.
The Flyers open up the spring schedule on Saturday, March 23 at 2 p.m. against Purdue Fort Wayne.
