NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference released its 2019 preseason men's soccer poll and tabbed the University of Dayton to finish fourth in the league this upcoming season.

The Flyers received 121 points trailing conference favorites VCU, Saint Louis, and Rhode Island. UD was picked ahead of Fordham, Davidson, and George Mason.

Senior goalkeeper Federico Barrios was the lone player from Dayton selected to the preseason all-conference team which was announced as well.

The Flyers open up the 2019 season on Aug. 30 at the Ohio State Tournament against Illinois Chicago. Their first home game is against Ohio State on Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. as part of the Dayton Tournament at Baujan Field.

Dayton was 9-6-4 last season and 4-3-1 in A-10 play while advancing to the A-10 Tournament Semifinals. The Flyers return 10 starters including their top four goal scorers from last season.
