DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team will play the first of its two exhibition matches of 2019 this Sunday, Aug. 11 when the Flyers host the Cincinnati Bearcats in a friendly at 7:30 p.m. at Baujan Field. 

MATCH INFO 

• Parking and admission are free. 
• There will be free schedule posters and thunder sticks for fans. 
• Prior to the match, there will be a moment of silence for the victims of the Oregon District shootings. 
   

THE SERIES

• The Flyers have squared off with UC 20 previous times with the Bearcats holding a 13-6-1 all-time lead.
• UD played UC in an exhibition match at Nippert Stadium last year. 
• The last time the two teams played during the regular season was in the season opener for both in 2016. In that match, which was played at Gettler Stadium, the Bearcats picked-up a 2-1 win in double overtime.

FLYER QUICK HITS

• The Flyers went 8-9-2 overall last season. 
• UD returns 16 letterwinners from that squad and they have 10 newcomers. 
• Senior Micayla Livingston is Dayton's leading returning scorer. 
• Sophomore Izzy Greene, a 2018 A-10 All-Rookie selection, was UD's second leading scorer last year. 
• Other returning starters include seniors Caroline Mink and Jordan Pauley, juniors Kara Camarco and Morgan Henderson, and sophomores Tiana Bucknor, Lexy Kidd, Hannah Osland, and Grace Rickett.
• Key losses for the Flyers include graduated seniors Keagin Collie, four-year starting goalkeeper Kaelyn Johns who had 18 career shutouts, as well as Beth Kamphaus and Nadia Pestell, both four-year starting defenders.
• Head Coach Eric Golz is in his third season as head coach of the Flyers. 

SCOUTING UC

• The Bearcats were 6-9-3 overall last season. 
• Junior Sophie Gorman is Cincinnati's leading returning scorer. She had two goals and two assists last season. 
• Seniors Sydney Kilgore and Dee Picou each scored two goals last year as well. 
• Neil Stafford is in his seventh season as head coach of the Bearcats.
