DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team (1-2-1 0-0-0 A-10) travels to Bowling Green (1-1-1) this Thursday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. and hosts Indiana State (0-4-0) this Sunday, Sept. 8 at Baujan Field in the third week of the regular season. Admission and parking are free for all Flyer women's soccer regular season home matches.
The Bowling Green match is also free admission and will be streamed on YouTube. The Indiana State match will be streamed on ESPN+.

• It is Military Appreciation Day with presentation of the colors by the Wright-Patterson Base Honor Guard
• Promotions include schedule & team posters and thunder sticks for all.

THE SERIES
• Dayton leads the all-time series vs. BGSU 2-0-0. The last time these two teams met was Sept. 13, 1998 and Dayton won on the road, 3-2 in overtime. The Flyers won the first meeting 5-0 at Baujan Field on Sept. 3, 1997.
• This is the first meeting between Dayton and Indiana State women's soccer.
FLYER QUICK HITS
• The Flyers went 8-9-2 overall last season. UD returns 16 letterwinners from that squad and they have 10 newcomers.

Micayla Livingston is Dayton's leading returning scorer.

• Head coach
Eric Golz is in his third season at the helm of the Flyers. He previously served as an assistant at UD in 2011.
SCOUTING BOWLING GREEN
• Bowling Green is 1-1-1 this season. BGSU recorded a 3-3, double-overtime draw at Kentucky and a 2-1 loss at Xavier, both on the road, before downing Valparaiso 2-0 in its home opener.
• The Falcons are the 2018 Mid-American Conference regular-season and tournament champions
• Bowling Green welcomed back 17 letterwinners from last year's MAC Championship team. BGSU's 2018 MAC regular-season title was the second in program history, and the Falcons went on to capture the MAC Tournament title for the third time ever.
• Through three matches, senior Maureen Kennedy and freshman Kennedy White are tied for the team scoring lead with two goals and four points each. Redshirt junior Nikki Cox has three points on a goal and an assist, while her younger sister, freshman Katie Cox, has two points.
• Senior Kathleen Duwve has played all 290 minutes in goal this season, and has six saves, one shutout and a goals-against average of 1.55.
SCOUTING INDIANA STATE
• Indiana State went 6-9-3 last season.
• The 2019 Sycamores return 15 letterwinners and nine starters.
• ISU is 0-4-0 to start this season with losses to: UMKC (L 1-0), Saint Louis (L 2-1), Milwaukee (L 2-0), and SIU Edwardsville (L 4-0).
• Danielle Varner was named to the 2019 Missouri Valley Conference preseason team.
• Katie Sidloski has scored Indiana State's only goal this season.
• Hannah Sullivan has started all four matches and has tallied 18 saves. Her goals against average is 2.10.

• The Flyers play at Louisville on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
• Dayton hosts Eastern Michigan on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. This will be the camper reunion match.
EXHIBITIONS
• The Flyers tied Cincinnati 1-1 at Baujan Field in their first exhibition match on Sunday, Aug. 11. Four days later they tied Eastern Kentucky 3-3 in Richmond, Ky. on Aug. 14.
FLYERS PICKED 6TH IN A-10 POLL
• The Dayton women's soccer team was selected to finish sixth in the 2019 Atlantic 10 standings in a vote by the league's 14 head coaches. They were picked to finish seventh last year and ended the season in eighth place with the final spot into the A-10 Tournament.
• Defending champion Saint Louis was picked to finish first with 192 points and 13 first-place votes. VCU was second with 176 and George Mason third with 163 points and one first-place vote.
• The top eight teams will compete in the 2019 Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Championship. The opening rounds will be held on the campus of the higher seeds on Nov. 2 and 3. The top four teams will then advance to play at Saint Louis' Hermann Stadium in the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 8. The championship final will be held on Sunday, Nov. 10 with the winner earning the A-10's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. All rounds of the championship will be streamed on ESPN+.

DAYTON'S A-10 BACKGROUND
• Dayton has won the A-10 Tournament Championship more than any other team in the conference: 10 times (1996, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2016).
• UD has also won or shared 11 Atlantic 10 Regular Season titles (1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2013). The next closest is Massachusetts with five.

UD advanced to the second round in both 2009 and 2010 and to the Sweet Sixteen in 2001. The Flyers lost 3-2 to No. 24 Ohio State in the NCAA First Round in Columbus in 2016.
