DAYTON – After a dominating performance on the mound to open the 2020 season, senior
Hunter Wolfe was named the Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week.
This marks the second time Wolfe has been named conference pitcher of the week. He also took the honor last February after throwing a four-hit complete game against Seton Hall.
The lefty started the first game of the season for the Flyers and put on a show against Bryant, going seven innings and allowing just one run on two hits in a 9-2 victory over the Bulldogs.
Wolfe struck out the first eight hitters he saw, and nine of the first 10 on his way to a career-high 14 strikeouts in the contest.
The senior was also named one of
Collegiate Baseball's National Players of the Week.
Up next for the Flyers is a road trip to Memphis for a weekend series with the Tigers. First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 4 p.m.
