KANSAS CITY – The United Soccer Coaches announced their 2019-20 Team Academic Awards Thursday and recognized the University of Dayton men's program yet again.
There were 338 men's teams honored across all NCAA divisions and 180 schools that had both their men's and women's programs recognized, including Dayton.
"It is great to see the team get recognized not only for their athletic abilities, but also their perseverance in the classroom," said head coach
Dennis Currier. "When you make a run to the A-10 Championship like we did in 2019, it involves missed class time so this displays the focus and commitment our student-athletes have towards their academics. This award is also a testament to our incredible academic resources that Dayton provides"
College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2019-20 academic year.
