DAYTON – University of Dayton baseball head coach
Jayson King has released the 2022 schedule. The Flyers are slated to play 56 games next season, with 22 of those at home. UD will play three games at Day Air Ballpark, home of the Dayton Dragons, and the other 19 at Woerner Field at AES Ohio Stadium.

"The Atlantic 10 provides great challenges within our conference," King said. "Our non-conference schedule is aggressive purposefully to challenge ourselves at a high level."

The Flyers will open the season with 11 games on the road, beginning with a three-game series against North Carolina A&T from Feb. 18-20 and will follow that at Evansville Feb. 25-27. On March 8, Dayton will head to Wright State for one game. The Raiders won the Horizon League in 2021, falling in the Knoxville Regional to Tennessee and Duke.

Northern Kentucky will serve as UD's opponent for the home opener on March 9 at Woerner Field at AES Ohio Stadium. The first home series will follow March 11-13 against UW Milwaukee before the Flyers begin a stretch of eight consecutive road games with four of those coming against Big Ten opponents.

Dayton will take on Purdue on March 15 and head to Michigan for a three-game series in Ann Arbor from March 18-20. The Wolverines advanced to the South Bend Regional in the NCAA Tournament last season, falling to Connecticut and Central Michigan.

April will begin with UD's first conference series, taking on Rhode Island at home from April 1-3. The Flyers will also play the first of three games at Day Air Ballpark against Ohio State on April 12 in between two road conference matchups with George Washington and Fordham.

The second game at Day Air Ballpark will see Dayton take on UMass on April 22, the first of three games against the Minutemen. A midweek game at Kentucky on April 26 will lead into a series against VCU, who the Flyers fell to in the Atlantic 10 Championship in 2021.

UD will head to St. Bonaventure from May 6-8 before hosting the final game at Day Air Ballpark on April 13 against Richmond as part of a three-game series, which also serves as the final home series of the season. The Flyers will head to Saint Louis to conclude the regular season from May 19-21.

Fordham will host the Atlantic 10 Championship this season from May 25-28. Dayton has made the A-10 Championship Game in each of the past two seasons one has been held. The NCAA Regionals will take place from June 3-6, followed by the Super Regionals June 10-13 and the NCAA World Series from June 18-29.
