Collegiate Baseball Predicts Dayton To Finish Third In The A-10

Four Flyers Among Players To Watch In The League

TUCSON, Ariz. – Collegiate Baseball's 2023 preview issue picks the University of Dayton baseball team to finish third in the Atlantic 10 Conference for the 2023 season. Last year's top two teams – Davidson and VCU – were the only teams picked ahead of Dayton.

In addition, Collegiate Baseball also singled out four UD players among its "players to watch."   They were first baseman Marcos Pujols (.302 batting average, 10 home runs, 41 RBI in 2022), catcher/infielder Jay Curtis (.275 batting average, 11 doubles, 38 RBI), pitcher Ryan Steinhauer (4.39 ERA, 63 K, 25 BB) and pitcher Mark Manfredi (3.66 ERA, 62 K, 15 BB).

The Flyers were 23-27 in 2022, and finished tied for eighth in the Atlantic 10.  Dayton opens the season on Friday, Feb. 17 at Western Kentucky.
