NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced their weekly men's soccer awards and recognized University of Dayton senior goalkeeper
Dario Caetano as the A-10 Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
Caetano recorded six saves and earned the shutout in a hard-fought road draw at Saint Louis Saturday night in a tough environment. The senior keeper was steady between the posts and directed his back line as they earned their fourth shutout of the season. This is his first player of the week award of the season after being named to the A-10 Preseason team.
He received the award alongside Saint Louis' Jeremi Abonnel, with the two keepers facing each other in last week's 0-0 draw in St. Louis.
The Flyers finish up the regular season this Saturday at home against Massachusetts with postseason implications on the line. It will also be Senior Day for Caetano and fellow senior
Logan Brown, who transferred from UMass.
