Fifth-Seeded Volleyball Headed West To Take On Pepperdine In NCAA First Round

Flyers and Waves to Square Of Dec. 1 at Washington State

DAYTON - The 19th-ranked University of Dayton volleyball team will head west to take on Pepperdine in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Volleyball Tournament. The Flyers and Waves are set to square off on Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT in Pullman, Washington. Washington State will host first and second round matches Dec. 1 & 2 and the Cougars' Bohler Gym.

Pepperdine earned the West Coast Conference's automatic bid into the tournament after claiming the 2023 WCC regular season title with a 15-1 mark in league matches. Site-host Washington State will square off against Grand Canyon in its first round match Dec. 1 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

This will be Dayton's 17th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and the Flyers hold a 9-16 record in tournament matches. The Flyers have advanced to the second round of play nine times and are looking to advance to the regional semifinal round for the first time in program history in 2023.
