Dylan DeMaison, Nathan Arthur Named First Team All-Pioneer Football League

Hayden Snyder Selected To Second Team; 15 Flyers Earn All-PFL Honors

ST. LOUIS – The Pioneer Football League has announced its all-league teams and the University of Dayton had two First Team All-Pioneer Football League selections, and one Second Team All-PFL selection in an announcement by the PFL office today.

Senior center Dylan DeMaison was named First Team All-Pioneer Football League for the first time in his career.  DeMaison, a redshirt junior from Cincinnati, is a three-year starter with 31 career starts under his belt.  DeMaison started all 11 games of the year.  He was Dayton's top-graded offensive lineman in 2023 and was named UD's Offensive Player of the Week three times.  DeMaison did not allow a sack all season.  He is also a two-time First Team Academic All-PFL student-athlete.

Redshirt senior linebacker Nathan Arthur was also named First Team All-Pioneer Football League, after being named Second Team last season.  Arthur led UD in tackles (95) and solo tackles (38).  He also led the Flyers in pass break ups (3) and fumbles forced (2).  A team captain who is also from Cincinnati, Arthur was second in tackles in the backfield (9) and quarterback hurries (3) and third in sacks (3).  He was fifth in the PFL in tackles and tied for second in fumbles forced.

Graduate student Hayden Snyder was a Second Team All-PFL selection.  The Flyer long snapper was a perfect 86-for-86 on his snaps this year (42 punts, 33 PAT, 11 FG).  A member of the program for three seasons after transferring from Bucknell, Snyder graduated with honors from UD in Mechanical Engineering and returned to play while pursuing his Master's in Engineering Management.  He was UD's Special Teams Player of the Week after the season-ending win at Davidson.

Twelve Flyers were named Honorable Mention All-PFL.  They were wide receiver Jake Coleman, safety Ca'ron Coleman, cornerback Cam Cope, offensive tackle Ryan Iiams, tight end Alec Keathley, safety Matt Lenti, linebacker Aiden McKinley, running back Michael Neel, defensive tackle Sam Schadek and defensive tackle Jack Wardzala.  Freshman Gavin Lochow was named as both a wide receiver and kick returner.
