GREENWOOD, Ind. - University of Dayton volleyball's Amelia Moore has been named a College Sports Communicators NCAA DI Volleyball Academic All-District® selection as announced by CSC Tuesday. This is the first regional academic honor for the middle blocker from Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

To be eligible for this award, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA (both as an undergraduate and graduate student) and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests/sets played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games/contests/sets.

Moore has also been selected as a CSC Academic All-America® finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Jan. 9, 2024.

The two-time AVCA All-Region honoree, Moore holds the Dayton program record for career assisted blocks (594) and ranks second in program history with 654.0 total blocks. She is only the third player in program history to surpass the 1,000-kills, 500-blocks mark (1,144 & 654.0) and ranks 44th in all of NCAA DI with 1.25 blocks/set this season. The five-time A-10 All-Conference selection was named to the 2023 A-10 All-Academic Team for the second-consecutive season and has five times been named to the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
