NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference recognized Grace Homan, a senior thrower at the University of Dayton, as the women's field athlete of the week following her outstanding performance at the Flag City Open last Friday.

The Botkins, Ohio native excelled in the shot put in Findlay with her 14.89m put that earned her second place. This is the 4th-best shot put mark in UD history and a PR for Homan.

The 4th-best shot put mark, which was previously 14.88m, was set by Homan only the week before at the Marshall Invitational.

Homan also threw for 14.96m in the weight throw at the Flag City Open, which was a 10th place finish out of 25 competitors.

Track and Field will prepare for the A-10 Indoor Championships, which will be held in Kingston, Rhode Island on Saturday, February 25th and Sunday, February 26th.
