PEORIA, Ill..- The University of Dayton Women's Cross Country team finished 24th out of 32 teams on Friday at the Bradley Pink Classic, hosted by Bradley University. The race was the first 6k of the season for the Flyers, and five runners set personal bests at the distance while three more completed their milestone first collegiate 6k. The 32-team field featured teams from around the country representing a wide variety of conferences.

Marissa Pritchett led the way for the Flyers in a personal best time of 21:46. Her time is the 16th fastest in school history. Senior
Justine Smith was the second Flyer across the line with another personal best time of 22:03. The next three runners continued the trend of PRs as Sophmore
Bryn Hothem (22:27), Sophomore
Olivia Kindbom (22:30), and Sophomore
Anna Newkirk (22:53) rounded out the scoring places for UD. Three freshmen (
Sarah Haunn,
Mia Gill, and
Kaitlin Skelton) made their collegiate debuts at the distance.
