DAYTON -- University of Dayton men's basketball coach Anthony Grant has announced that Marvel Allen will undergo two procedures on his left knee, and the recovery period needed after the procedures will cause him to miss the 2024-25 season. 

The first of these procedures will be done Friday, November 1.  The second will occur in late December and will require a rehab that will be measured in months rather than weeks. 

Allen played in UD's two exhibition games last year, but was injured before the regular season began and redshirted the 2023-24 campaign.

Dayton will open the 2024-25 season on Monday at home against Saint Francis.
