DAYTON- The NCAA released its annual Division I Graduation Success Rate (GSR) data today and Dayton has posted a score of 95 which places it among the top 10 percent in the nation and one of the best in Ohio.
Dayton's score of 95 is tied for its second-best mark since GSR started being tracked in 2004-05.
For the 12th consecutive year, at least eight Flyer teams had a perfect GSR score of 100. Additionally, 10 of the 13 UD programs with GSR data, posted Graduation Success Rates at or well above the national average.
The GSR was developed as an improved measurement tool for tracking student-athletes' academic progress leading toward graduation. The graduation success rate is based on a comparison of the number of scholarship student-athletes who enter a college or university and the number who graduate within six years. The GSR takes into account transfers and student-athletes who leave in good academic standing.
