WASHINGTON D.C. – University of Dayton redshirt senior volleyball player
Lexie Almodovar has been named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for the third time this season the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Almodovar put up eye-popping numbers in Dayton's 3-0 week, averaging 6.00 kills while hitting .380, and also had 1.00 blocks and 2.60 digs per set. The Noblesville, Ind. native had 22, 27 and 17 kills in the week's games, and had double-doubles in both matches against George Mason with 13 and 10 digs, respectively. She finished the week averaging 7.55 points per set.
The redshirt senior shares the weekly honor with Bree Borum of Loyola Chicago.

Dayton has seven weekly honors from the Atlantic 10 this season, winning Player of the Week six times and Defensive Player of the Week once. Junior
Liana Sarkissian won her first career Player of the Week honor on Sept. 16. Almodovar added her first POW of the season a week later on Sept. 23. Redshirt senior
Brooke Smith won the honor on Oct. 8 and Almodovar won again on Oct. 21. Senior
Alyssa Miller took home Player of the Week on Oct. 28. Junior
Karissa Kaminski earned the Flyers' first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season on Sept. 30.
