DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's cross country team will compete at the Jesse Owens Invitational on April 19-20 at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. This will be their eighth and final appearance alongside the women's track and field team during their 2024 outdoor season.

Three Flyers made an appearance at the BSU We Fly Challenge last weekend.
Jameson Maynes was the leading runner with a third place finish of 15:34.31 in the 5000m run. Here are the full results from last weekend.

When the Flyers competed in Tennessee on April 5-6, they had a handful of fantastic performances at the Fast Break Athletics Invitational at Lee University and at the Tennessee Invite at the University of Tennessee.
Sam Duncan set a PR in the 10,000m race at Lee University of 29:57.71, which was also the second-best 10,000m time in UD history. At the Tennessee Invite,
Calan Gizelbach broke his previous school record in the 3000m Steeplechase with a new PR time of 9:15.40.
Noah Clemens also landed at seventh-best all-time in the 5000m run with his PR time of 14:35.71.
A GRAND FINALE AT OSU
This weekend, seniors Gizelbach and
Adam Jones will be competing in the 5000m run, which will be their last appearances as Dayton Flyers before they graduate. Gizelbach will also be competing in the 3000m Steeplechase, hoping to break his record one more time. Clemens, Fecher, and
James Mroczka are competing in the 800m race as well. This is the only event that the Flyers have not set a new top-10 all-time mark in this season, and these Flyers are hoping to do so.
