Chloe Wong have been named the
Ohio's CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held April 22-28.
Wissman had another double-win week of action, picking up a pair of victories in the Flyers' series sweep of Davidson while also making a scoreless appearance midweek. The Dayton native threw 4.2 innings of scoreless ball, allowing just one hit and striking out four in the series opener against the Wildcats, then bounced back to pitch the final three innings in the finale, striking out five. He finished the week allowing two runs in 8.1 innings of work, striking out 10 opponents while holding them to a .194 average. Wissman is 5-0 with a 2.42 ERA in Atlantic 10 play this season.
Wong led the Flyers to a 4-1 week in A-10 play with a .636 average, seven hits, five RBI, five walks and two sacrifice hits. She was 3-for-3 with two RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Dayton's 8-0 (5 inn.) win over Rhode Island on Saturday. The third baseman then went 2-for-2 with a walk in the 4-1 series finale win on Sunday. For the week, she posted a .667 on-base percentage and a .727 slugging percentage. The Modesto, Calif., native was named A-10 Player of the Week on Monday as well.
