Jadyn Haywood have been named the
Ohio's CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held Jan. 13-19.
Cheeks, who hails from Providence, R.I., scored a college career-high 26 points in the Loyola Chicago win Saturday, along with seven rebounds and five steals. He made 10 of 14 shots, including six of nine from three-point range. For the week, he averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals while shooting .700 (14-2o) FG and .643 (9-14) from beyond the arc.
Haywood won the 60m dash at the Indiana Invitational while running the second-fastest time in the A-10 this season (7.55), bested only by the mark she set the previous week at Michigan. The Dayton native later finished second in the 200m with a time of 24.62, improving on her conference-leading mark. She was named Atlantic 10 track co-performer of the week for the second consecutive week.
