WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Atlantic 10 Conference recognized University of Dayton junior Jadyn Haywood as Co-Performer Of The Week for the third time this year. Haywood won both the 60 meter and 200 meter dash on Saturday at the Gem City Invitational hosted by UD on the campus of Wittenberg University.
Haywood recorded a personal best 7.47 and cruised to her third win of the season in the 60m dash. The junior has held the best time in 60m all season in the conference and 7.47 also marked the second fastest time in program history. It was Haywood's first win in the 200m this season and grabbed the top spot running 24.57. Haywood holds the fastest time in the 200m in the A-10 at 24.27, which she secured earlier this season at the Midwest Classic. The Dayton, Ohio native also won Co-Performer Of The Week on January 14, and January 21.
Haywood was runner-up in the 200m and placed third in the 60m last February, at the A-10 Indoor Championships. At the A-10 Outdoor Championships in May, she finished second in both the 100m and 200m. She set new PRs in each of 11.75 and 24.03 respectively.
The Flyers will next compete at the Doug Raymond Invitational hosted by Kent Sate on Friday, February 14, and Saturday, February 15.
