FLYERS IN ACTION

  • Casey Bogues, earlier this month, won her fourth Atlantic 10 Championship in the javelin. The Red Bank, New Jersey native stepped on the podium with a meet and facility record at George Mason Stadium (53.12m). Her mark is the ninth best throw this year in the region. The graduate student has four victories this season in javelin and 16 for her career. On Thursday, she will be throwing at the East Regional for the fourth time. Last year, she competed for the second time at both the NCAA Championships and the U.S. Olympic Trials.
  • On May 4, Jadyn Haywood was named Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track Performer Of The Year at the A-10 Outdoor Championships. The junior won both the 100m, 200m, and claimed silver with the 4x100 relay team of Anna Kessler, Sydney Workman, and Lianna Shakoor. It has been a record year for Haywood, who tied the school record in the 100m, broke the school record in the 200m, and set a new school record with the 4x100 relay team. The Dayton, Ohio native will compete for the first time at the East Regional and qualified by running 11.41 twice this season in the 100m. Her fastest time on the year was a wind-aided 11.33 at the Tennessee Invite.
  • Daniela Peralta picked up her first career win at the Mount Union Last Chance Meet and qualified for the regional in javelin on her very last throw (47.50m). The Gillete, New Jersey native posted the 38th best throw in the region, a new personal record, and the third-best throw in program history. After suffering an injury in 2024, Peralta bounced back in 2025 and seven-times this year finished in the top five. This will be the first trip to the East Regional for Peralta.
