DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's basketball team and head coach
Anthony Grant have announced the addition of sophomore guard Adam Njie for the upcoming 2025-26 campaign.
Njie joins the Flyers after a successful freshman campaign at Iona, where he played in 32 games and made 27 starts as a rookie. The native of the Bronx will have three seasons to play for the Flyers.
In his time with Iona, Njie shot 41% from the floor and averaged 12.2 points and 4.2 assists per game. He scored a career-high 26 points at Canisius and dished out a career-best in assists against Rider with 12. In total, Njie registered double-digit points in 22 games and had five 20+ scoring outputs, helping earn a spot on the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Rookie Team.
As a prep, Njie played at Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx for head coach Joe Lods where he averaged 21 points, eight assists and four rebounds per game as a senior. Njie was named NYSSWA New York Class AAA All-State Third Team and CSHAA AA All-League Second Team as a senior.
Njie joins fellow newcomers
Bryce Heard,
De'Shayne Montgomery and
Jordan Derkack as part of the 2025-26 recruiting class that the Flyers already have on campus in preparation for the season.
