WASHINGTON - University of Dayton men's soccer freshman Farouq Ogundare has been named the Atlantic 10's Under Armour Rookie of the Week, his first weekly conference honor.

Fordham senior Daniel D'Ippolito the Under Armour Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week while VCU junior Trevor Maloney earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades. The awards were announced on Monday for games played from Sep. 8-14.

Ogundare earned his fourth start of the season Saturday in Dayton's 3-1 home win over Saint Joseph's, UD's only match of the week. He recorded his second assist of the season on Dayton's first goal of the match just two minutes into the contest. Ogundare then scored his first career goal in the 16th minute, which proved to be the game winner.
