DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team returns to the friendly confines of Baujan Field on Thursday night to host its second consecutive Power Four opponent in the Big Ten's Purdue at 7 p.m.
ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (2-2-1) was once again tripped up at home, falling to the BIG XII's West Virginia 2-0 at Baujan Field. The Mountaineers scored a goal in each half, while the Flyers' opportunities were limited. UD registered nine shots in the game and three on goal, while WVU had 18 shots with 11 on goal. The Flyers have scored three goals this season coming from a trio of sophomores -
Olivia Baca,
Liv Grenda and
Laney Smith.
SCOUTING PURDUE
The Boilermakers are in the midst of a two-game Atlantic 10 stretch, having lost to Loyola Chicago in their most recent outing. Purdue lost 1-0 to the Ramblers in the 90th minute on Sunday, marking the second time it has been shut out this season. In their two wins, the Boilermakers have out-scored opponents 9-2, defeating Indiana State 4-0 and Ball State 5-2. The leading goal scorer is Chiara Singarella, who has scored three times this season, while Irene Campo has scored a pair of goals and added two assists.
SERIES STUFF
Dayton and Purdue played in West Lafayette last season, with the Boilermakers rolling to a 6-1 victory.
Jenna Hallbeck scored the Flyers' lone goal in the contest.

REDA MATCHES CAREER SAVE MARK
• Senior
Batoul Reda's performance between the posts on Sunday not only matched a career-high for saves (9), but also tied her own mark for most shots saved in a match since the 2018 season.
• Reda also stopped nine shots in a 2-1 victory over Louisville at home during the 2023 campaign.
• The nine saves is the most since Kaelyn Johns stopped 12 in a 1-0 road loss at George Washington in the 2018 season.
YOUTH MOVEMENT
• Dayton has relied on its underclassmen in the early part of the 2025 season, with six sophomores averaging over 50 minutes per game and three freshmen putting in over 28 minutes per contest.

Lauren Fields is the only field player to have played every minute of every game thus far this season, while sophomore midfielder
Liv Grenda has averaged 81 minutes per contest.
