DAYTON - University of Dayton men's basketball junior De'Shayne Montgomery and women's track & field senior Jadyn Haywood have been named the Ohio's 529 Plan CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held Jan. 12-18.

Montgomery put together a strong week in two Flyer victories, averaging 16.0 points, 2.5 steals, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists per game while shooting .500 from the floor. The Broward County, Fla., native scored 21 points in Dayton's win over Loyola on Friday night, his fifth 20+ point scoring output on the season.

Haywood had a strong showing at the Hoosier Horsepower Classic in Indianapolis this weekend.  In the 200m, the Dayton, Ohio, native finished second in a time of 23.97, improving her own school record. In the 60m dash, she ran the fastest time in the prelims of 7.47 before taking the runner-up spot in the next day's final.
