DAYTON - University of Dayton track and field's final weekend of competition before the A-10 Indoor Championships will feature athletes representing the Flyers at both Wittenberg University and the University of Findlay. Throwers head to the University of Findlay for the Flag City Open on Friday, while a group of distance runners, sprinters, and jumpers will compete at the Wittenberg Invite in Springfield, Ohio, on Saturday.

START TIME

• Findlay: Throwing events will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday with the weight throw.
• Wittenberg: Running events will begin at noon on Saturday with the 60m dash.

LOCATION

• Findlay: Robert A. Malcolm Athletic Center. 1000 N. Main Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840.
• Wittenberg: The Steemer, 250 Bill Edwards Dr., Springfield, Ohio, 45501.

LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend, the Flyer distance team travelled to Allendale, Michigan, for the GVSU Big Meet, while the sprinters, jumpers, and throwers were competing in Indianapolis at the Heartland Invitational. Freshman Simone Bessong continued her strong season, making her collegiate debut in the 400m in a time of 56.44, the third fastest indoor time in school history. Senior Marissa Pritchett also had a strong showing, finishing second in the 5k in a personal best time of 17:19.83. Other PRs for UD came from Bailey Gross, Anna Newkirk, and Olivia Kindbom in the 5k; Reese Kohnle in the mile; and Sophia Goluba in the 60m hurdles. Jadyn Haywood ran a PR in the 400m, and Mariya Washington bested her time in the 200m.

FLYERS IN ACTION
On Friday at Findlay, the Flyers will have their usual throws group of Rebekah Conrad, Anna Yater, Elaina Panagakos, Jillian Yates, Chloe Hansen, and Maggie Hofner in the shot put and weight throw.

Saturday will see Dayton represented in ten events. Chloe Hamilton, Gianna Lane, Charlotte Deines, and Autumn Price will compete in the sprint events. The distance team will be represented in the 800, mile, 3k, and 4x400m. Freshman Addison Stephens will run her first collegiate indoor competition as she steps to the line in the 800m and the mile. Jameson Pillifant will compete in the 60m hurdles. Riley Yost will be the lone Flyer in the high jump, while Deines, Lane, and Price are entered in the long jump.
