DAYTON - University of Dayton men's basketball sophomore Amael L'Etang and women's track & field sophomore
Mia Gill have been named the
Ohio's 529 Plan CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held Feb. 16-22.
L'Etang played a critical role in the Flyers' 2-0 week, averaging 19 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 blocks with no turnovers while shooting 77.8% from the floor and 71.4% from beyond the arc. In UD's win at George Mason, L'Etang went 9-of-11 from the floor for a career-high 21 points while also pulling down six rebounds. The Frenchman then tallied his fourth double-double of the season against Duquesne, scoring 17 points and finishing with 10 rebounds. L'Etang also had five assists and a pair of blocks against the Dukes.
Gill earned her first collegiate win in the 800m at the Wittenberg Invite. The sophomore from Columbus, Ohio ran a personal-best 2:13.62, which was the second-fastest time in school history.
