DAYTON - University of Dayton track and field will open its outdoor season Friday at the Blizzard Buster, hosted by Miami University. After finishing third at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships three weeks ago, the Flyers make their return to the track to begin their outdoor campaign in Oxford.

FLYERS IN ACTION
The Flyers will be competing as a full team in their season opener, with all event groups represented.
In the distance events,
Bryn Hothem,
Mia Gill,
Olivia Kindbom,
Addison Stephens,
Kaitlin Skelton, and
Sarah Haunn will toe the line in the first 1500m of the season, transitioning from the full mile indoors. Hothem and Kindbom will also compete in the 3,000m, joining
Marissa Pritchett,
Cara Mooney,
Reese Kohnle,
Bailey Gross,
Anna Newkirk, and Ahsley Alsko. Gill, Haunn, Skelton, and Stephens will all then compete in the 800m.
Also on the track,
Jameson Pillifant,
Raegan Ernst,
Evelyn Albers, and
Sophia Goluba will all compete in the 100m hurdles.
Mariya Washington will be Dayton's lone representative in the 400m before
Simone Bessong,
Sydney Workman,
Lianna Shakoor,
Chloe Hamilton, and
Grace Felts line up in the 100m. A large group of Flyers will compete in the 200m, including Workman, Washington, Shakoor, Goluba, and Albers. They will join
Autumn Price,
Gianna Lane,
Charlotte Deines, and
Mia Malito on the start line.
In the field, the throws team of
Rebekah Conrad,
Chloe Hansen, and
Jillian Yates will compete in the hammer throw, shot put, and discus.
Maggie Hofner will be in the circle to compete in the hammer throw and discus, while
Elaina Panagakos will make her Flyer outdoor debut in the shot put.
Daniela Peralta will return to the javelin along with the multi-event athletes of Goluba, Ernst, and Albers.
Jailee Clemmons will make her return from injury in the long jump, joining Albers, Lane, Price, and Deines.
Riley Yost and
Camryn Thompson will compete in the high jump, along with Malito.
The Flyers will also send three relay teams, as Besson, Workman, Deines, and
Jadyn Haywood will look for a big result in the 4x100m, while Gill, Haunn, Kohnle, and Skeleton will line up with Mooney, Stephens, Alsko, and Newkirk in the 4x400m.
