DAYTON, Ohio – Head men's tennis coach
Ryan Meyer has announced the schedule for the 2017 Flyers' men's tennis team.
Dayton kicks off the season on Jan. 16 at Kentucky, who will enter the season as one of the top ranked men's teams in the nation. UD will also travel to Toledo on Jan. 20 before opening the home season against Belmont on Jan. 21. The Flyers wrap up January with home matches against Abilene Christian on Jan. 27 and Xavier on Jan. 29.
February is the busiest month on the schedule for Dayton, as the Flyers play nine matches in a 22-day span. The month begins with matches at IUPUI on Feb. 3 and at Butler on Feb. 4. After a road match against NKU on Feb. 10, UD hosts four straight matches, starting with Illinois State on Feb. 12. The Flyers then open Atlantic 10 play with Saint Louis coming to town on Feb. 17. Duquesne will also visit the Gem City for an A-10 match on Feb. 19. The home stretch concludes with a match against Youngstown State on Feb. 24. Dayton finishes the month with two matches on Feb. 25, first against Wright State and then against Cedarville.
Dayton will play host to Lipscomb on Mar. 3 to kick off the new month, and then welcome Eastern Illinois on Mar. 10. The Flyers hit the road for a brief stretch, starting at Michigan on Mar. 12 and then traveling to St. Bonaventure for an A-10 matchup with the Bonnies on Mar. 18. The 2017 senior day honoring

Graham Reinbold and
Bernardo Sanson will be Mar. 25 against Detroit.
The regular season wraps up with a trip to Philadelphia, Pa. as the Flyers take on Fordham on April 8 at Saint Joseph's University. Dayton will then play two matches on April 9, first against Saint Joe's and then La Salle.
"I'm very happy with the challenges our men's program has in store this spring.," said coach Meyer. "I feel that it's a continuation of how we challenged the guys in the fall. My hope is that we get a lot of confidence throughout these matches and be where we need to be to make a run the conference title."
This year's Atlantic 10 men's tennis championships will be held April 27-30 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
