FLYERS BEGIN THEIR INDOOR SEASON AT THE OILER OPEN

Several personal records were broken on December 3 when the Flyers participated in the Oiler Open in Findlay, Ohio.

Senior Kelly Pohlman (Versailles, OH) finished 4th in the weight throw with a distance of 56-08.75. This is a new school and career record, and a UD personal best. In the shot put, Pohlman placed 7th with a distance of 43-09.00.

Also a senior, Stacia Harold (Urbana, IL) placed 8th in the 60m dash with a time of 7.94 which is a new career and UD personal best record. She also participated in the high jump, placing 12th with a height of 4-10.25.

Amy Kremer (Minster, OH) finished 4th for the Flyers in the high jump with a height of 5-06.00. She also participated in the 60m hurdles with a time of 10.02, placing 17th out of 24. Kremer competed in the shot put and finished with a distance of 31-10.00.

In the 200m dash, sophomore Megan Sweeney (Cincinnati, OH) finished with a 27.90, which is a new UD personal best record. In the high jump, Sweeny took 5th with a height of 5-04.25, which set another new career and UD personal record.

Freshman Stacy Chew (Mason, OH) placed 4th in the 300m dash with a 42.71 and Liz Forster (Reynoldsburg, OH), a junior, came in 3rd in the 400m dash with a time of 1:01.

Freshman Sydney Hubbard (Lancaster, OH) finished 2nd in the 3000m run with a time of 11:08.16.

Junior Tara Hentgen (Frederick, MD) took 2nd in the triple jump with a height of 35-05.50, a new career and UD personal best.

The "A" team, Hentgen, Forster, Aubry, and Chew competed in the 4x400m relay and finished 5th with a time of 4:04.22, which improved last year's indoor relay time by 9 seconds. The "B" relay team, Harold, Kremer, Schulte, and India Moss (Abilene, TX) placed 10th with a time of 4:18.30.

The Flyers are warming up for their next meet, the Ball State Open, on January 13 in Muncie, IN.
