DAYTON – University of Dayton track and field has announced the addition of Simone Bessong, Chloe Hamilton, Gianna Lane, and Autumn Price for the 2025-26 season. Associate head coach Aaron Gordon is thrilled with the incoming sprinters and jumpers.
"It is hard to individually speak on each of these amazing young women. Each one of them brings championship level speed, experience, and depth to our sprints and jumps group. They will also play a key role in our relay pool as well. I am excited to see them grow and develop into the future of this program. We are getting a wealth of talent in key event areas and to see a group of such talent come together to join our culture and commit to maintaining the level of success we have built here is wonderful."
Simone Bessong is a sprinter, who attended The Tatnall School in Wilmington, Delaware. Her personal records include running 7.64 in the 60m, 11.89 in the 100m, 24.36 in the 200m, and 56.76 in the 400m.
Chloe Hamilton is another sprinter, with impressive marks in the 60m, 100m and 200m. The incoming freshman is from Cincinnati, Ohio, where she shined on the track at Mercy McAuley High School. Her personal best in the 60m is 7.85, 12.04 in the 100m and 25.20 in the 200m. Hamilton was named 2025 Runner of the Year in the Greater Catholic League.
Gianna Lane is both a sprinter and jumper from Hilliard, Ohio, where she shined in multiple sports at Hilliard Darby High School. Her personal best jump is 5.77m in the long jump. Personal records on the track include 7.72 in the 60m, 12.02 in the 100m, and 24.83 in the 200m. Lane was also a basketball standout at Darby, where she was named Third Team All State in Division One.
Autumn Price another sprinter and jumper, who excelled at Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, Illinois. On the track her PR in the 60m is 7.84, she ran 12.10 in the 100m, and 25.52 in the 200m. Her personal best in the long jump is 5.93m.
