Results
Louisville, KY - The Flyers showed that they are continuing to improve at the Cardinal Invitational in Louisville, KY this weekend. Eight new personal records and eight season's bests were achieved at this weekend's event.
Senior Kelly Pohlman won second place in the shot put with a regional qualifying distance of 47'9.25". She also performed in the hammer throw and the discus, and achieved a new personal record in both.
Sophomore Connie Fleming also competed in the hammer throw and threw a new personal record of 139'7". Fleming achieved a personal record in the discus as well and came in fifth place with a 145'.
Candace McKinley, a junior, competed in the javelin and came in fourth place with a distance of 113'11".
Stacia Harold earned a new personal record in the 100 m dash with a 12.32. She placed fifth. Harold also competed in the long jump and finished in ninth place with a 16'5.25".
Freshman Amy Kremer came in sixth in the high jump with a height of 5'3". She also competed in the javelin and 400 m hurdles and earned a season's best in each.
Liz Forster competed in the 400 m run and achieved a new personal record with a time of 59.04.
Emily Haas and Bridget Kuhel both ran personal record times in the 1500 m run. Haas finished with 5:10.18 and Kuhel finished with 5:13.62.
The 4x100 m relay team placed third in their event and tied their season's best time with a 49.42.
Lindsey Brown, Stacy Chew, India Moss, Jessica Schulte, Sydney Hubbard, and Anne Oltman all reached new season's bests in each of their respective events.
The Flyers are now preparing for their next meet, the Star Lyons Invitational, in Indianapolis on April 29.
