DAYTON, Ohio -
Sarah Allen, Stacy Chew, and Megan Sweeney of the women's track and field were all named to the Atlantic 10 Indoor All-Academic Team as announced by the Conference on Friday. Allen boasts one of the highest GPA's on the team with a 3.92 as a psychology major and is a member of both the Dean's List and the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. She recently finished second (44-09.00) at the A-10 Indoor Championships to help lead UD to the program's best-ever finish of second place overall. As a member of both the track and field and women's soccer teams, junior Stacy Chew has managed to keep a 3.82 GPA as a Fine Arts major. Chew finished sixth in the 400 meter dash at the Conference Championships a few weeks ago and has posted three of the fastest top 400 meter dash times for UD this season. The sprinter has also recorded five top 10 finishes.
The only senior in the group, Megan Sweeney finished fifth in the A-10 Championships with a leap of 5-03.00 in the high jump. She holds the fourth best leap in the league this season at 5-05.75 in the high jump.
UD will return to action on March 15 in the team's first outdoor meet of the season. The Flyers will travel to Conway, South Carolina for the CCU Invitational.
