East Lansing, MI – The University of Dayton Flyers had a tough match-up against Michigan State on Saturday, as they fell 6-1 to their second Big Ten opponent of the year.
With the loss, UD is now 4-12.
Austin Wiegand tallied the only Flyer win on the day, with a 7-6 (5-0), 7-6 (7-0) edge over MSU’s Will Davis. This is his second consecutive success on the singles court. Wiegand leads the team in singles play, recording a total of eight wins this season.
UD is back in action next weekend, as they face A-10 rival St. Bonaventure.
