FLYERS AT IU RELAYS AND TOM WRIGHT CLASSIC

DAYTON, Ohio
– The University of Dayton track and field team returns to Bloomington, Ind. for the second consecutive weekend to compete in the IU Relays, while UD’s throwers head to Bowling Green for the Tom Wright Classic on Friday.

The Flyers are coming off of a competitive weekend at the Gladstein Invitational, which was also hosted by Indiana University. The Flyers had a number of new personal records set including Hilary Lang’s score of 3,152 in the pentathlon which put her second all-time on UD’s track and field performance list. Erin Baldinger also set a new personal record in the pentathlon with a score of 3,007.

TOP THREE VAULTERS
The Atlantic 10’s top three marks in the pole vault belong to University of Dayton track and field student-athletes. Senior Courtney Siebenaller has the highest mark (12-03.50 – Oiler Opener). Sophomore Katrina Steinhauser (12-01.50 – Doug Raymond) is second and sophomore Hanna Krizmanic is third (12-00.50 – Gladstein Invitational).

TIED FOR FIRST
Freshman Ellie Grandi is tied with Saint Louis’ Naya Owusu and Saint’ Joseph’s high jumper Hannah Boyce for the top mark in the conference for the high jump this season.

HALF OF THE TOP EIGHT
UD’s weight throwers hold four of the top eight marks in the weight throw this season. Sophomore Aly Weeman leads the A-10 by nearly two-and-a-half feet with a top mark of 54-10 (16.71m) set at the Gladstein Invitational last weekend. Samm Hortsmann (50-10.75 – Oiler Opener) ranks fourth, Miranda Nelson is sixth (49-04.25 – Doug Raymond) and Christine Borchers (48-10.00 – Oiler Opener) is seventh.

BORCHERS THIRD IN THE SHOT PUT

Christine Borchers ranks third in the Atlantic 10 in the shot put. At the Oiler Opener, Borchers had a throw of 43-00.25.
