Great Lakes Regional Page

DAYTON, OHIO - The University of Dayton women's cross country team heads to Madison, Wis. this Friday, Nov. 15 for the NCAA Great Lakes Regional.  The 6K race will begin at 1:15 p.m., and will be hosted by the University of Wisconsin.

"Coming off of a conference meet like we had, some programs would have really had their wheels come off. The way the women have responded has really impressed me and speaks volumes for where their mentality and focus are. We will go into Regionals with the same plan we have had all season. The group is really looking forward to competing." – Head Coach Sarah Haveman

Historically, the Flyers have fared very well in the Great Lakes Regional race. Last season they finished 15th out of 32 teams.

UD returns four runners who ran in last year's race.  Seniors Lizzie Gleason and Nicole Cargill finished in 34th and 41st place respectively. Junior Nicole Armstrong finished in 119th place, while sophomore Olivia Albers finished 139th overall.

The seven Flyers who will be answering the starting gun are seniors Nicole Cargill and Lizzie Gleason,  juniors Mary List, Lauren Clark, and Katie Ollier, sophomore Olivia Albers, and freshman Kathleen Keene.
